Dry Bulk
Our dry bulk drivers are home most nights and weekends in addition to having a highly consistent schedule. If you value your home time, this is the job for you.
Dump
Dump Drivers can make up to $60k/year AND if they earn hazmat can set themselves up for $90k/year if they're willing to run.
Propane/Butane
Puryear is one of the East coast’s largest privately owned Propane and Butane carriers, so we'll keep you on the road and moving.
Liquid Asphalt
Puryear will never step in the way of your earnings! Drive up to however many miles you'd like and get on the fast path to $80k annual earnings.
Anhydrous Ammonia
Our repeat customers will become your family. Our Anhydrous Ammonia drivers haul year-round to farms. They build lasting, meaningful relationships with their customers.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of driving experience
- Valid driver’s license in the state he/she resides
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Hazmat/tanker endorsement
- TWIC
- Acceptable driving record meeting company hiring standards, verified through a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to pass a pre-hire driving test
- Ability to pass a D.O.T. level physical and drug/alcohol test
- Ability to pass physical abilities test
- Knowledge of traffic laws, rules and regulations
- Customer-service oriented
- Demonstrates characteristics of a team player
- Oral and written communication skills
- Neat, clean personal appearance

Puryear Tank lines was established by Harold Puryear who began as a driver. Later he would be succeeded by Donnie Puryear then later by his son Donnie who both drove prior to leading the company. Puryear Tank Lines has always been owned and operated by former drivers.
